VOLUME #1
Humber Music Final Recital, real great stuff here. If you ever have a chance to check out one of these culminating projects I definitely recommend showing up, by this point the musicians have gone through 3 years of hard work, it really is a sight to see.
This night was a mixture of originals composed for the recital in specific and covers of jazz classics such as; “Pennies from Heaven” by Arthur Johnston, “Wabash” by Cannonball Adderley, and “Dream Steps” by Dick Oatts.
My longtime friend Michael Morabito led the band on alto sax, I had a chance to speak with him over the phone just before writing this. Mikey is playing sax in a line up these days, they call themselves T4 Band. From what I hear they have a piano player, Mike and his friend Victor on sax, a drum section, and instead of the typical standup bass they have an Ewi player. If you don’t know what an Ewi player is, google it, its like a hella rad synthesizer style electronic music instrument. T4 Band has an tripped out EP in the works for the end of summer, look out for their progressive jazz stylings.
