VOLUME #2
Welcome to another super hype upload day, it’s ya boy peanut butter back with another scan to satiate all you music fans! This show has a lot to chew on here; Ottawa came out strong with T-Rex Marathon leading the bands here on their Unfiltered tour, Tomorrow Today ripped a set of the pop punx variety, and Diamond Weapon makes it’s 20scene debut. Of course big ups to Junko DayDream for playing a gnarly set, I was disappointed with the pictures I got of their set so sadly they are not photographed on this spread.
Tomorrow Today is pretty rad. I’m a huge fan of how tech this band is, I know it’s only pop punk but they execute real well. Dece vibes, never heard of them before but I was pleasantly surprised. They only released two songs on bandcamp sadly. The rest of their songs are worth a listen if they’re out there on spotify or something; I don’t really search everywhere when I do the links section!
Junko DayDream played a pretty crazy set. I was not expecting them to tear apart the drum set like they did, I think at one point Jack was fully standing on top of the monitor just screaming. I could go off all day on how good this band is; the more I listen to their tracks the more I find ones I dig, and they have a fair amount of content floating around which is nice.
Diamond Weapon is so sick, honestly, buy their merch. The album “All I Wanted Was The Other Side” is dope and I always have fun at their shows too which is nice. I love the track Aegean Sea; the song kicks and there is always a mosh at the end of that track at their shows, its so intense. Can’t wait to see this band again.
T-Rex Marathon was awesome, this band is so stoked on linkin park vibes and I love it. They have a few good tracks; “…And I Lost It All” off their album Aruelia is pretty freaking cool, it has a sound that reminds me of Boys Night Out. I’m really into the dark screamo vibes mixed with melodic vocals that gets pumped out of Ontario from time to time; props to T-Rex Marathon for keeping it 100% real.
