Haiku Politico has been one of my favorite projects. I sat down one day with my favorite human being in the world, Kirby, at knife|fork|book just before the pandy and I told the living legend that I intended on making a new zine; a foray into western politics written for the north african/middle easterner. At the time I was half blowing smoke up his ass trying to push my own agenda(OK I’M A SPINSTER THAT WANTED TO HAVE A POETRY READING FEATURING MY ZINE WORKS AS A LAUNCH PARTY FOR MY WEBSITE). Alas, here we are and I have somehow manifested that exact work in what I must admit is good form. At the end I give a special loving thanks to Kirby and my photograph collaborator Gaddy–both of them save the world time and time again–love you guys.

I typify Haiku Politico as a text in image prompted western haiku collection, the only images I fully put together myself is the one of Glenn and the one where I paid the hobo to hold a sign that said “assisted suicide”. I wanna send my thanks to Seth for giving me the idea to use Haiku, they’re out in BC and was gonna contribute too but got busy with life stuff from what I can tell.
