I want to begin this by saying that it is not easy to put on a show/play in a band so shout out to everyone out there putting together gigs and ripping sets. This one at the owl club showcased some awesome talent, mad props to all involved.

Wrot opened up and held it down proper. If you like their sound I advise you check out their Out Of Bounds split EP with losers which came out shortly after this; all sorts of heavy droning dissonance and fast paced high energy there. Their EP pigs is fucking dope also, it’s short and sweet which lends itself to replay.

Scorpio Rising are on another level, I swear. Somebody give props to Harold for being such a shredmaster. The whole band is on some shit; these are some serious musicians with a heavy punk rock infused hardcore sound that is unmistakable. Fast and led by a vivacious front woman, this band hits all the right angles. I properly cover this band in the upcoming “Personal Favorites” section.

Cellphone delivered a wicked set here, their lead guitarist has a freaking sweet flying-V and their bassist/frontman rocks Filas on some fly shit. Their “Sinister Realities” tape takes you on a far out thrash trip that leaves you wanting more. These guys have also survived the test of time a bit so big ups to them on the longevity.

Losers, what a bunch of kickass. Do yourself a favour and listen to “I always lose” on the “Out Of Bounds” split release, fuckin’ eh. Ya boy peanut butter is hella stoked on this band right here, they keeps it real in the 20scene. Much respects for putting this show on.
