VOLUME #3
Another night of sheer metal carnage here, three out of towner bands running the Hard Luck bar. Nothing like a night checking out a heavy AF line up. This was a night where all three bands were just grinding out of town, two of the three from hundreds of miles away; ya boy was not gonna miss out on this action. The room was full with only the usual crowd of metalheads you could find at all the metal shows, you know the greasy kids with long hair that just stand in the middle of the pit headbanging with their horns up? I knew this was gonna be a killer gig.
Sinner. What more can I say about these Ontario heavyweights? I see them every chance I get because the fucking rule. If you haven’t heard the death-metal thrash they’ve been cooking up for the leas four years I feel bad for you; songs like No Atonement and Wraith are on some shit, the latter has a live as fuck video (LINK HERE). No surprise this band gets around, Sinner has plenty sick content going; at this show I bought their last Sinner Tee with a hella nice sloth on it, that’s my kinda shit.
Hazzerd in from Calgary Alberta with the seamless thrash metal. Big ups for going the distance. Their album Misleading Evil fucking rules, one of those you just throw on and let play. These two metalheads starting shoulder bashing each other out of nowhere in the middle of their set because this shit just amps mother fuckers the fuck up, one of them ended up on the floor by the end of it. I love how one of their guitarists was ego tripping for half the set until they turned up his monitor in time for a face melting solo. This band is so fucking sick, I bet their fans out in Calgary are die hard. Everything is polished with these guys, mad impressive.
Hatchet are some crazy thrash heads from the San Francisco Bay area. These dudes have played hundreds of shows and are freaking sweet with the harmonies. I dig this band; check out their tripped out video for the track Signals Of Infection(LINK HERE), it came out like 7 years ago and still fucking kicks ass. Seamless live, Hatchet remind me why I love thrash metal so much. I wouldn’t sleep on this band, lots of hard work going down here for over a decade. I wanna see this band again, for real.
And that’s the way folks, here’s some links:
