BANNER

VOLUME #2

Big time banger of a night, this show was killer. I was initially stoked to see Mil-Spec but when I showed up and saw every one playing skate in the parking lot I quickly realized this night at see-scape was gonna be sick.

Mill-Spec slayed their set, I had a great time as they played their songs from the more recent Advanced Perspective release titled “When The Fever Broke”. I got that tape last time I saw them play at the Smiling Buddha, it warped my mind and brought me back to what I always thought hardcore was supposed to be. They played a decent set, the pit opened up nicely. Mil-Spec is definitely worth a listen; their thought provoking, creative, and deeply layered music is a joy.

Illusion was up next. Ya boy over here was really digging their vibes, they have a Suicidal Tendencies feel. I keep comparing Illusion to bands. Yes, they gave me a Rage Against The Machine vibe because of heir vocalist’s hair do; this time I’m serious though, they are like the Suicidal Tendencies of NY hardcore. Non stop shredage going on here, their set went over pretty well. This band rips.

Ekulu are so rad. Heavy and hard hitting, listening to them is like hearing all the best parts of your favorite old school metal and thrash bands. No surprise this band made it all the way out to the London England on tour, real awesome sound worthy of closing the night out for sure. I’m so stoked I got to see this band kill it, shout outs to everyone who put this show on.
