Back on the interwebz with another wild AF update, this one feels like the scene’s birthday gift to ol’ peanut butter over here. Ya boy finally got to catch a tuffalo band live, heard things for years about how they get down on some serious hardcore shit out there and turns out that was no lie. Another sick night put together by New Ethic, always a rad time at their shows. The pit was hella fun at this show, even saw some chicks throwing down; ya boy was throwing ‘bows and air punches havin’ gay old time. What a way to say buh-bye to my 20’s, being 30 sucks; live fast and die young my friends. Well enough chit-chat, on to the hardcore extravaganza!
Deadly Game dark metalcore; real heavy stuff from this Toronto band. I missed their set but check them out if you’re into some mad progressive and sludgy chugalugs.
Depleted in from Buffalo with the beatdown style hardcore for all your moshing pleasure. This band fucking rules, their frontman is crazy on stage. I wanna check Depleted in Buffalo, I bet the pit would be fucking off the chain. I mean, the pit opened up for them in TO, and I know people travel from all over to pack shows in their hometown. Dreaming aside, these metalheads rip a sick set. C’est bon.
Reliever slugging it out at Duffy’s yet again, and they got some respect this show playing towards the end. If you haven’t given 2020 Vision listen yet I feel bad for you son. Ontario is lucky to have such a sick band laying down sets like Reliever. This is one of those bands where everything is on point, yet so many people who aren’t from Windsor sleep on them. I rate this band; seriously, releasing tracks since 2017 these guys are putting their hometown on the map. Big ups.
Rust. Groovy tunes right here, makes me wanna pound drumbeats on me chest and kick the air like I’m fighting invisible ninjas. Breakdowns galore, and a sick aesthetic; I love this band. Stoked I got to see the original line up. Their vocalist is fucking live, if you see I literally caught buddy levitating in a picture from all the jumping he was doing on stage. Walk a mile records fucking rules, definitely check them out for some sick hardcore.
