BANNER

VOLUME #3

The artist formerly known as Peanut Butter back for another 20scene update. Got to venture further into the always live and vibrant Toronto–underground–house music world. Got in with some house heads as of late, namely Melted Mike and some lovely party people; DJ’s, dancers, promoters, overall great folks. House jams are great; ya boy Peanut Butter over here got it in on he newly renovated dance floor at La Bamba this night, all the dancing and stuff was so much fun. I definitely advise hitting up a house event if you’re looking for a good time. Here’s some links to some Facebook pages that throw some rad events:

Viudax is a pretty crazy tech house DJ with a real cool aesthetic. He opened up this jam pretty well, I enjoyed the tracks he spun. Don’t know much aside from that he’s a Toronto DJ that is on some sick tunes. It seems like he collabs often with other DJ’s/artists, check out his Soundcloud for a bunch of chilled out sets.

DJ Omari Taylor rules man. He is such an awesome dude and has been spinning, laying down sets since like the 90’s or some shit. He started out strictly techno and got into house down the road. I honestly wanted the guy to keep spinning when he reached the end of his set, that’s how danceable his mixes are. No reason not to check out this super talented and iconic TO DJ.

Detroit Trickster. International man of mystery. This guy has been around as long as Omari and has some serious chops, Detroit Trickster knows his shit. Had a chat with him where he went off on how intricate the art of DJ is; the guy spent years out in the states putting in work on his skills and it shows. Everyone got to vibing out when the smoke machine started going off for his set, his sound effects and samples are mad dope too; This DJ slays no question.
