Peanut butter goes poetry–yes, yes–Haiku Politico returns again for another couple image driven poems. Ol’ peanut butter over here has a bit of a past when it comes to prose/free form poetics. I always wrote a bit of poetry here and there over the years… Just before the pandemic hit I was frequenting open mics around Toronto sharing poetry, had a series published in the medical journal Ars Medica. More recently I had an art video funded based on one of my poetry pamphlets. I’ll link to all of this below and the previous Haiku Politico features. Bottom line: I love the freedom of poetry, it is such a wonderful way to make art exist. Toronto is such a great place for it too, definitely support local book stores(knife | fork | book being my favorite spot for poetry, I used to give out my zines at their poetry readings.
